I am a 3rd year PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where I work with Aishwarya Ganesan and Ramnatthan Alagappan at the DASSL Lab. My research interests lie in Disaggregated Memory and Distributed Storage Systems.

What I've been up to lately:

  • Working on abstractions that simplify programming in disaggregated environments (CXL).
  • Playing around with new index structures to push the limits of databases on emerging hardware.
  • Supercharging OS page caching with emerging hardware.
  • Teaming up with folks at ARCANA Research Group to cook up a clustering-based caching algorithm that finds hidden memory access patterns most people miss.

Before joining UIUC, I spent 3.5 years at VMware R&D as a Kernel Developer on the Core Storage team, where I worked on NVMe, iSCSI, and vSCSI components inside the ESXi kernel.

I also interned at SAFARI @ Carnegie Mellon University, where I worked with Saugata Ghose to build a kernel-aware MMU page prefetcher for improving real-time memory locality.
